MEETING OF TAX ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Meeting of the Tax Advisory Committee was held on 2nd December, 2014 in the Conference Hall of Regional Tax Office, Peshawar. Dr.Ikram Ghani, Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue, Regional Tax Office, Peshawar was in the chair. Beside Commissioners and Additional Commissioners of the RTO, representatives of the following Chambers of Commerce & Industry and Traders Associations attended the meeting;

2. The meeting started with recitation from the Holy Quran. Chief Commissioner, RTO, Peshawar in his opening address welcomed all the participants and briefed them about purpose and objectives of the meeting. He emphasized promotion of tax culture and development of mutual confidence between tax officials and taxpayers.
3. The Chief Commissioner assured the tax advisory committee that all the officials of RTO Peshawar will do their best for urgent solutions of taxpayers’ problems. No refund due to the taxpayers shall be withheld or delayed. He further said that tax returns selected for audit shall be processed in accordance with law and proceedings will be finalized on merit without causing any undue inconvenience to the taxpayers.
4. Mr.Fuad Ishaq, President KPK Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Peshawar and Mr.Sharafat Ali Mubarak, President Markzi Tanzeem-e-Tajiran, Peshawar on behalf of the business community thanked the Chief Commissioner for convening meeting of Tax Advisory Committee and appreciated his efforts in taking interest and resolving difficulties faced by the traders of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and assured their full cooperation to the Chief Commissioner in broadening of tax base and collection of taxes.
