MEMBER IR (OPERATIONS) & MEMBER IR (TAX POLICY) AT WORKSHOP ON
FINANCE ACT 2013 HELD IN LTU KARACHI ON 28.08.2013
Member (IR Operations) and Member (IR Policy) attended the workshop held in Large Taxpayers Unit (LTU) Karachi to discuss and educate the taxpayers / trade associations about the recent changes in Sales Tax, Income Tax and Federal Excise Duty brought through Finance Act 2013 on 28.08.2013. The Chief Commissioner of LTU Karachi briefed the Members about the workshop which is being conducted on daily basis from 1000 hrs to 1230 hrs since 19.08.2013 to develop mutual understanding of amendments in Tax laws with the taxpayers of LTU Karachi for voluntary compliance in its true letter & spirit.
Both the Members observed the proceedings of the workshop conducted by a team of dedicated officers of LTU Karachi. During the interactive session, the Members of FBR discussed with the participants about the implementation of changes brought in the Finance Act 2013. The participants appreciated the initiatives taken by LTU Karachi / FBR to educate the taxpayers and trade associations about new budgetary measures and ensured their commitment in the larger interest of national revenue.
