LAHORE, September 22, 2026: As part of the initiative undertaken in line with the directives of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Mr. Rashid Mahmood Langrial, met with a delegation of the Tax Bar Association, led by its President, Mr. Rana Saqib Munir, at the Large Taxpayers Office (LTO), Lahore. The meeting focused on facilitating taxpayers and tax practitioners through timely resolution of their issues and further improving tax administration.
The meeting was attended by Member (Inland Revenue Operations), senior officers of FBR, and representatives of the Tax Bar Association.
During the meeting, matters relating to income tax returns, sales tax, and the tax filing and administration process were discussed. The Chairman assured the delegation of FBR’s continued support and directed the concerned officers to address the issues raised in accordance with law and applicable procedures. He also agreed to the proposal for establishment of a PRAL liaison office in Lahore to facilitate taxpayers and tax practitioners.
The Chairman took note of the matters relating to the jurisdiction and transfer of cases between RTO-I and RTO-II and directed the concerned officers to examine and resolve such issues. Suggestions regarding the Small Traders Scheme and enhancement of income tax revenue were also discussed.
The Chairman appreciated the constructive suggestions of the Tax Bar Association and tasked the concerned officers with addressing technical issues in the FBR system on a priority basis to ensure a smooth and efficient tax filing process for taxpayers and practitioners.
Chairman FBR reiterated his commitment to continued engagement with stakeholders and emphasized that their practical feedback would be given due consideration in further improving tax administration, facilitating compliant taxpayers, and strengthening the overall tax system.

چیئرمین ایف بی آر کی ٹیکس بار ایسوسی ایشن کے وفد سے ایل ٹی او لاہور میں ملاقات
لاہور، 22 ستمبر 2026: وزیرِ اعظم شہباز شریف کی ہدایات کی روشنی میں شروع کیے گئے اقدام کے تسلسل میں چیئرمین فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریونیو (ایف بی آر) مسٹر راشد محمود لنگڑیال نے ٹیکس بار ایسوسی ایشن کے صدر مسٹر رانا ثاقب منیر کی قیادت میں وفد سے لارج ٹیکس پیئرز آفس (LTO) لاہور میں ملاقات کی۔ ملاقات میں ٹیکس دہندگان اور ٹیکس پریکٹیشنرز کو سہولت فراہم کرنے، ان کے مسائل کے بروقت حل اور ٹیکس انتظامیہ کو مزید مؤثر بنانے سے متعلق امور پر تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا۔
ملاقات میں ممبر (ان لینڈ ریونیو آپریشنز)، ایف بی آر کے سینئر افسران اور ٹیکس بار ایسوسی ایشن کے نمائندگان نے شرکت کی۔
ملاقات کے دوران انکم ٹیکس ریٹرنز، سیلز ٹیکس اور ٹیکس فائلنگ و انتظامی امور سے متعلق مختلف معاملات زیرِ بحث آئے۔ چیئرمین ایف بی آر نے وفد کو ایف بی آر کی جانب سے مسلسل تعاون کی یقین دہانی کراتے ہوئے متعلقہ افسران کو ہدایت کی کہ پیش کیے گئے مسائل کو قانون اور متعلقہ قواعد و ضوابط کے مطابق حل کیا جائے۔ انہوں نے ٹیکس دہندگان اور ٹیکس پریکٹیشنرز کی سہولت کے لیے لاہور میں پی آر اے ایل (PRAL) کا لائژن آفس قائم کرنے کی تجویز سے بھی اتفاق کیا۔
چیئرمین ایف بی آر نے آر ٹی او-I اور آر ٹی او-II کے دائرۂ اختیار اور کیسز کی منتقلی سے متعلق امور کا بھی نوٹس لیتے ہوئے متعلقہ افسران کو ان کا جائزہ لے کر مسائل کے حل کی ہدایت کی۔ سمال ٹریڈرز اسکیم اور انکم ٹیکس ریونیو میں اضافے سے متعلق تجاویز بھی زیرِ غور آئیں-
چیئرمین ایف بی آر نے ٹیکس بار ایسوسی ایشن کی جانب سے پیش کی گئی تعمیری تجاویز کو سراہتے ہوئے متعلقہ افسران کو ایف بی آر کے نظام میں موجود تکنیکی مسائل کو ترجیحی بنیادوں پر دور کرنے کا ٹاسک دیا، تاکہ ٹیکس دہندگان اور ٹیکس پریکٹیشنرز کے لیے ٹیکس فائلنگ کا عمل مزید آسان، مؤثر اور بلا تعطل بنایا جا سکے۔
چیئرمین ایف بی آر نے اسٹیک ہولڈرز کے ساتھ مسلسل روابط کی اہمیت پر زور دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ ان کی عملی آراء کو ٹیکس انتظامیہ میں مزید بہتری، ٹیکس دہندگان کو سہولت فراہم کرنے اور مجموعی ٹیکس نظام کو مضبوط بنانے کے لیے اہمیت دی جائے گی۔
