Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran in Pakistan, H.E. Mohammad Ali Hosseini called on Chairman FBR/Secretary Revenue Division Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq Ahmed at FBR (HQs), Islamabad. During the meeting, matters relating to cooperation on taxation and customs between Iran and Pakistan came under discussion. H.E. Ambassador of Iran suggested to increase the effective working hours at Mand-Pishin border. He further proposed that Iranian side was ready to increase border gate timings at Taftan-Mirjawa and expected the same action from Pakistan. Chairman FBR endorsed the suggestion of the Ambassador and informed that FBR had already taken up the case with Government of Balochistan to coordinate with Iranian Authorities for increased opening and working hours of border crossing especially at Taftan-Mirjawa.
The visiting dignitary also highlighted that the movement of Iranian vehicles was restricted to Taftan whereas Pakistan vehicles were allowed inside Iran on TIR. Chairman FBR clarified that the movement of Iranian vehicles was restricted on the direction of NCOC due to Covid pandemic. “FBR has already taken up the case with NCOC to review the above decision,” Chairman further added. The Iranian Ambassador also pointed to lack of facilities for Iranian drivers at Taftan. To this, the Chairman assured that Director General, NLC will be requested to address this issue as soon as possible. The visiting guest also apprised the Chairman FBR about lack of infrastructure at Gabd and Mand border crossing points. The Chairman FBR informed the Excellency that the PC-I for Gabd/Mand was being prepared by NLC which will be followed by
FBR for early processing. The Chairman FBR also directed his team to write to DG NLC for provision of storage capacity/tanks of LPG at Taftan as highlighted by Iranian Ambassador during the meeting.
The visiting Excellency appreciated the pivotal role of FBR as Pakistan’s premier revenue collection Agency and commended its outstanding performance both in revenue collection and broadening of tax base. The Chairman FBR thanked H.E. Iranian Ambassador for visiting FBR and assured him of his fullest cooperation in strengthening the trade ties between the two countries.
پاکستان میں تعینات ایرانی سفیر کی چئیرمین ایف بی آر سے ملاقات
پاکستان میں تعینات ایران کے سفیر عزت مآب محمد علی حسینی کی ایف بی آر ہیڈکوارٹرز ، اسلام آباد میں چئیرمین ایف بی آر ڈاکٹر محمد اشفاق احمد سے ملاقات کی۔ ملاقات کے دوران ٹیکس اور کسٹمز امور سے متعلق دونوں ممالک کے درمیان جاری تعاون پر تبادلہ خیال ہوا۔ ایرانی سفیر نے مند-پشین بارڈر پر ورکنگ آورز بڑھانے کی تجویز دی۔ مزید کہا کہ ایرانی اتھاریٹیز تفتان-میر جاوہ پر بارڈر گیٹ اوقات برھانے کے لئے تیار ہے اور امید کرتی ہے کہ پاکستانی اتھاریٹیز بھی یہ اقدام اٹھانے کے لئے تیار ہو جائے گی۔ چئیرمین ایف بی آر نے ایرانی سفیر کی تجویز کی تائید کی اور کہا کہ ایف بی آر نے معاملہ حکومت بلوچستان کے ساتھ اٹھایا ہے کہ وہ بارڈر کراسنگ باالخصوص تفتان- میر جاوہ بارڈر پر ورکنگ آورز اور بارڈر گیٹ اوقات بڑھانے کے سلسلے میں ایرانی اتھاریٹیز کے ساتھ اشتراک کریں۔
ایرانی سفیر نے مزید کہا کہ ایرانی گاڑیوں کا داخلہ تفتان تک محدود ہے جبکہ پاکستان گاڑیوں کو ٹی آئی آر پر ایران کے اندر تک داخلے کی اجازت ہے۔ چئیرمین ایف بی آر نے وضاحت کی کہ ایرانی گاڑیوں کا داخلہ این سی او سی کی کووڈ ہدایات کے پیش نظر محدود کیا گیا ہے ۔ انہوں نے مزید کہاایف بی آر نے این سی او سی کو اس سلسلے میں نطر ثانی کرنے کی درخواست کر دی ہے۔ایرانی سفیر نے تفتان میں ایرانی ڈرائیورز کے لئے محدود سہولیات کا بھی تذکرہ کیا جس پر چئیرمین ایف بی آر نے کہا کہ اس سلسلے میں ڈی جی این ایل سی سے مسئلے کے جلد حل کے لئے درخواست کی جائے گی۔ ایرانی سفیر نے گبد اور مند کراسنگ پوائینٹس پر انفراسٹرکچر کی کمی کے بارے میں بھی آگاہ کیا جس پر چئیرمین ایف بی آر نے کہا کہ گبد –مند کے لئے پی سی ون کو این ایل سی نے تیار کیا ہے اور ایف بی آر اس پی سی ون کی جلد پراسیسنگ کے لئے کوشش کرے گا۔چئیرمین ایف بی آر نے اپنی ٹیم کو ہدایات دیں کہ ایرانی سفیر کی تجویز پر ڈی جی ،این ایل سی کو تفتان پر سٹوریج کی سہولت اور ایل پی جی ٹینکس کی فراہمی کے لئے درخواست کریں۔
ایرانی سفیر نے ایف بی آر کے ملکی ریونیو اکھٹا کرنے والے واحد ادارے کے کردار کو سراہا اور محاصل کے حصو ل میں بہترین کارکردگی اور ٹیکس بنیاد بڑھانے کی کوششوں کی تعریف کی۔چئیرمین ایف بی آرنے معزز مہما ن کی ایف بی آر تشریف آوری پر شکریہ ادا کیا اور یقین دلایا کہ و ہ دونوں ملکوں کے درمیان تجارت کو فروغ دینے کے لئے اپنا بھر پور کردار ادا کریں گے۔
