In line with the vision of Prime Minister of Pakistan for promoting Taxation system in the country and under the guidance of Chairman FBR, a special signing ceremony of Letter of Understanding (LoU) between Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) was held on Wednesday in Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training. The Ceremony was observed by Federal Minister for Federal Education & Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood, Parliamentary Secretary for Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training Wajija Akram Khan, Chairman FBR/Secretary Revenue Division Muhammad Javed Ghani, Federal Secretary for Federal Education & Professional Training Farah Hamid Khan, Member FATE of FBR Bakhtiar Muhammad and Additional Secretary Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training Mohyuddin Ahmed Wani. The Letter of Understanding was signed by Director General Federal Directorate of Education, Zia Batool and Chief FATE of FBR Aisha Farooq.
LoU is aimed to promote tax culture & tax awareness in all educational institutions of Federal Directorate of Education. It shall serve to foster positive taxation culture and awareness among students and teachers through different sets of activities, skills and experiential learning for making them responsible citizens. The training sessions will inculcate among the students about the significance of paying taxes and how to indicate tax evasion. Federal Board of Revenue will educate and train two hundred twenty thousand students & seven thousands & five hundred teachers through taxation syllabus, training sessions and seminars. This LoU will be applicable for three years.
Federal Minister for Federal Education & Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood applauded the initiative and hoped that FBR would also collaborate with the provinces to follow this practice. While speaking on the occasion, Chairman FBR Muhammad Javed Ghani stated that FBR has decided to launch countrywide awareness sessions through seminars and training sessions to promote tax culture. He urged that these efforts will certainly help to increase the number of taxpayers and revenue for the country.

وزیر اعظم پاکستان کےملک بھر میں ٹیکس نظام کو ترویج دینے کے ویثرن پر عمل درآمد کرتے ہوئے چیئر مین فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریوینیو کی راہنمائی میں ایف بی آراور فیڈرل ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف ایجوکیشن کے درمیان ٹیکس کلچر کو فروغ دینے کے معاہدے پر دستخط ہوئے۔ وزارت وفاقی تعلیم وپروفیشنل ٹریننگ میں ہونے والی اس تقریب میں وفاقی وزیر برائے وفاقی تعلیم و پروفیشنل ٹریننگ شفقت محمود ، چیئر مین ایف بی آر اور سیکریٹری ریوینیو ڈو یثرن محمد جاوید غنی، پارلیمانی سیکریٹری برائے وزارت وفاقی تعلیم و پروفیشنل ٹریننگ وجیجہ اکرم خان، سیکریٹری وفاقی تعلیم و پروفیشنل ٹریننگ فرح حامد خان، ممبر فیٹ ایف بی آر بختیار محمد اور ایڈیشنل سیکریٹری وزارت وفاقی تعلیم و پروفیشنل ٹریننگ محی الدین وانی نے شرکت کی۔ فیڈرل ڈائیریکٹوریٹ آف ایجوکیشن کی طرف سے ڈایئریکٹر جنرل ایف ڈی ای ضیاء بتول اور فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریوینیو کی طرف سے چیف فیٹ عائشہ فاروق نے معاہدے پر دستخط کئے۔
معاہدے کے تحت تحت ایف بی آر وفاقی درس گاہوں میں زیر تعلیم طلبہ و طالبات کے لئے ٹیکس کلچر اور ٹیکس آگاہی کو فروغ دینے کے لئے ٹریننگ سیشنز کا انعقا د کرے گا۔ معاہدے کے تحت تربیتی سیشنز کے دوران اساتذہ اور طلبہ کو مختلف سرگرمیوں کے ذریعے ٹیکس کی ملکی ترقی میں اہمیت ، ٹیکس ادا کرنے اور ٹیکس چوری کی نشاندہی جیسے اہم مو ضو عات کو اجاگر کیا جائے گاتاکہ وہ آج کے طالب علم کل کے ذمہ دار شہری ہونے کا کردار ادا کر سکیں۔ ایف بی آر دو لاکھ بیس ہزار طلبہ اور سات ہزار پانچ سو اساتذہ کو ٹیکس سے متعلقہ نصاب ، ٹریننگ سیشنز اور سیمینارز کے ذریعے تربیت فراہم کرے گا۔یہ معاہدہ تین سال کے لئے قابل عمل رہے گا۔
اس موقع پر وفاقی وزیر برائے وفاقی تعلیم و پروفیشنل ٹریننگ شفقت محمود نے نئی نسل کو ٹیکس کے متعلق آگاہی پھیلانے کی اس کوشش کو سراہا اور امید ظاہر کی کہ ایف بی آر اسی طرز پر تمام صوبوں کے ساتھ بھی ان تربیتی سیشنز کا انعقاد کرےگا۔ چئیرمین ایف بی آر محمد جاوید غنی نے تقریب سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہاکہ ایف بی آر ٹیکس کلچر کے فروغ کے لئے عملی اقدامات اٹھا رہا ہے اور ملک بھر میں ٹیکس سے متعلق آگاہی سیشنز اور سیمینار کرانے کو عملی جامہ پہنا رہا ہے تاکہ عوام کو ٹیکس کے بارے میں مزید آگاہی اور شعور دیا جا سکے۔ ان اقدامات کی بدولت ٹیکس گزاروں کی تعداد بڑھانے اور ریوینیو میں اضافہ ممکن ہو گا۔
