Federal Board of Revenue’s Policy Wing gave a detailed briefing to the Chairman Federal Board of Revenue, Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq Ahmed about the progress made on the Prime Minister’s Relief Package for Construction Industry. Member IR Policy assisted by Chief IR Policy informed the Chairman that so far 1321 persons have registered themselves through the online system of FBR in 2125 projects. Out of these registered projects, 1775 are new projects whereas 350 are existing projects. The total declared investment made in these registered projects comes to Rs. 493 Billion.
PM’s Construction Package was introduced through Tax Laws (Amendment) Ordinance, 2020 on 19th April, 2020. The salient features of the package include fixed tax for builders and developers, immunity from probe and concessions from withholding of taxes. FBR has provided all the required facilitation to the beneficiaries of the package which include establishment of dedicated web page, a dedicated email to address inquiries and an online step by step guide for the builders and developers. Besides, a comprehensive set of FAQs for potential buyers and investors was developed which is available on FBR website. Moreover, wide publicity through media campaigns was also done to maximize the gains of this relief package.
Chairman FBR directed that ease of doing business must be ensured to the registered projects under the PM’s Package for Construction Sector. He further desired that regular update on the progress be communicated through media on weekly basis.
چئیرمین ایف بی آر نے وزیر اعظم کی طرف سے کنسٹرکشن صنعت کو دیئے گئے ریلیف پیکج پر پیشرفت کا جائزہ لیا
فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریونیو کے پالیسی ونگ نے چئیرمین ایف بی آر ڈاکٹر محمد اشفاق احمد کو وزیر اعظم کی طرف سے کنسٹرکشن صنعت کو دیئے گئے ریلیف پیکج پر ہونے والی پیشرفت پر تفصیلی بریفنگ دی۔ ممبر ف پیکج پر ہونے والی پیشرفت پر تفآئی آر پالیسی نے چئیرمین کو آگاہ کیا کہ اب تک 1321 افراد ایف بی آر کے آن لائن نظام کے تحت 2125 پراجیکٹس میں رجسٹرڈ ہو چکے ہیں۔ ان رجسٹرڈ پراجیکٹس میں 1775 نئے پراجیکٹس ہیں اور 350 پہلے سے موجود پراجیکٹس ہیں۔ ان رجسٹرڈ پراجیکٹس پر کل سرمایہ کاری مالیت 493 ارب روپے ہے۔
وزیر اعظم کا کنسٹرکشن پیکج ٹیکس قوانین ترمیمی آرڈینینس 2020 کے ذریعے 19 اپریل 2020 کو متعارف کیا گیا۔ اس پیکج کی نمایاں خصوصیات میں بلڈرز اور ڈویلپرز کے لئے فکسڈ ٹیکس ، ذرائع آمدن پر پوچھ گچھ کی چھوٹ اور ودہولڈنگ ٹیکسز مراعات شامل ہیں۔ ایف بی آر نے اس پیکج سے مستفید ہونے والوں کو ہر ممکن سہولیات فراہم کی ہیں جن میں ویب پیج کی تشکیل، شکایات کے ازالہ کے لئے ای میل کی تشکیل اور بلڈرز اور ڈویلپرز کے لئے آن لائن راہ نمائی کی دستیابی شامل ہیں۔اس کے علاوہ خریداروں اور سرمایہ کاروں کے لئے اکثر پوچھے گئے سوالات کے جوابات بھی ایف بی آر کی ویب سائٹ پر فراہم کئے گئے ہیں۔ اس ریلیف پیکج کے بہتر ثمرات حاصل کرنے کے لئے اشتہاری مہم بھی میڈیا پر کی جا چکی ہے۔
چئیرمین ایف بی آر نے کہا کہ رجسٹرڈ پراجیکٹس کو وزیر اعظم کے کنسٹرکشن پیکج کے تحت دی گئی تجارتی آسانی کو یقنی بنا یا جائے ۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ اس حوالے سے ہونے والی پیشرفت کو ہفتہ وار بنیادوں پر میڈیا کے ساتھ شئیر کیا جائے۔
