CTO Lahore Recovers Rs. 2.646 Billion in Major Tax Enforcement Action
December 24, 2025: In a significant enforcement breakthrough aimed at strengthening tax compliance, the Corporate Tax Office (CTO) Lahore has recovered Rs. 2.646 billion in an enforcement action conducted by the CTO Lahore.
The recovery pertains to outstanding Income Tax demand created against a taxpayer – who failed to fulfill his statutory obligations – after successful completion of assessment proceeding. CTO Lahore successfully created not only a substantial amount of demand in a single case but also effected recovery following all the legal procedures professionally and in accordance with the applicable provisions of the tax law.
This recovery reflects the effectiveness and professionalism of the FBR and its field formations in handling high-value cases and safeguarding government revenue. The action demonstrates FBR’s firm approach towards addressing serious instances of tax default while ensuring due process and fairness.
Member (IR-Operations), FBR commended the dedicated efforts of the officers of CTO Lahore in enforcing tax laws and protecting public revenue.
FBR reiterated its commitment to promote voluntary compliance while continuing to take decisive action against non-compliance.
سی ٹی او لاہور کی ٹیکس انفورسمنٹ کی بڑی کارروائی؛ 2.646 ارب روپے کی وصولی
کارپوریٹ ٹیکس آفس لاہور نے ٹیکس قوانین پر عمل درآمد کو مؤثر بنانے کے لیے ایک اہم انفورسمنٹ پیش رفت کرتے ہوئے دوارب چونسٹھ کروڑ ساٹھ لاکھ روپے وصول کرلئے ہیں۔
تشخیصی کاروائی کی کامیاب تکمیل کے بعد یہ ٹیکس وصولی ایک ایسے ٹیکس دہندہ کے خلاف کی گئی جس نے انکم ٹیکس کےبقایا جات کی مد میں اپنی قانونی ذمہ داریاں پوری نہیں کی تھیں۔ سی ٹی او لاہور نے نہ صرف ایک ہی کیس میں واجب الادا خطیر رقم کا ٹیکس عائد کیا بلکہ ٹیکس قوانین کی متعلقہ دفعات کے مطابق تمام قانونی تقاضے پیشہ ورانہ انداز میں پورے کرتے ہوئے اس کی وصولی بھی یقینی بنائی۔
یہ وصولی ایف بی آر اور اس کی فیلڈ فارمیشنز کی بڑے مقدمات سے نمٹنے، سرکاری محصولات کے تحفظ کو یقینی بنانے کی پیشہ ورانہ صلاحیت کی عکاس ہے۔ یہ اقدام ٹیکس میں سنگین نادہندگی کے معاملات سے نمٹنے کے لیے ایف بی آر کے ٹھوس مؤقف کا عکاس ہے، جبکہ متعلقہ قانونی عمل پورا کرکے انصاف کو بھی یقینی بنایا گیا۔
ایف بی آر کے ممبر (آئی آر-آپریشنز) نے ٹیکس قوانین کے نفاذ اور سرکاری محصولات کے تحفظ کے لئے سی ٹی او لاہور کے افسران کی انتھک کاوشوں کو سراہا۔
ایف بی آر نے رضاکارانہ کمپلائنس کے فروغ کے عزم کا اعادہ کرتے ہوئے واضح کیا ہےکہ نان کمپلائنس کے خلاف فیصلہ کن اقدامات کا سلسلہ جاری رکھا جائے گا۔
