Karachi, December 19, 2025:- In line with the Federal Board of Revenue’s sustained efforts to curb smuggling and protect the national exchequer, the Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, Karachi, in coordination with Pakistan Rangers, conducted a successful intelligence-based operation at Al-Asif, Sohrab Goth, Karachi.
During the operation, three Mazda truckloads of foreign-origin smuggled goods were recovered. The seized items mainly included smuggled cigarettes, gutka, sheesha flavor, Irani food items, cosmetics, toiletries, dairy products, beverages, and other assorted consumer goods.
The recovery comprised, inter alia, 4,859 sticks of smuggled cigarettes, 258 sticks of sheesha flavor, 2,375 packets of gutka, and 57 packets of niswar, besides large quantities of foreign-brand cosmetics, personal care items, food products, syrups, oils, dairy items, and beverages.
The tentative market value of the seized goods is estimated at approximately PKR 20 million.
All recovered goods have been taken into custody, and further legal proceedings are being initiated under the relevant provisions of the Customs Act, 1969. Further investigation is underway to trace the culprits involved in this smuggling activity.
The Federal Board of Revenue remains committed to strengthening enforcement measures through effective intelligence gathering and inter-agency collaboration to curb smuggling and safeguard the national economy.

فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریونیو کی اسمگلنگ کے سدباب اور قومی خزانے کے تحفظ کے لیے کی گئی کاروائیوں کے تسلسل میں کلکٹوریٹ آف کسٹمز انفورسمنٹ کراچی نے پاکستان رینجرز کے اشتراک سے الآصف اسکوائر سہراب گوٹھ کراچی میں خفیہ اطلاع کی بنیاد پر کارروائی کرتے ہوئے اسمگل شدہ غیر ملکی سامان سے لدے تین مزدا ٹرک برآمد کیے ۔ ضبط شدہ سامان میں اسمگل شدہ سگریٹ، گٹکا، شیشہ فلیور، ایرانی غذائی اشیاء، کاسمیٹکس، ٹوائلٹریز، ڈیری مصنوعات، مشروبات اور دیگر استعمال کی متفرق اشیاء شامل تھیں۔
برآمد کی گئی ان اشیاء کے علاوہ اسمگل شدہ سگریٹس کے 4,859 ڈنڈے ، شیشہ فلیورکے 258 ڈنڈے، گٹکا کے 2,375 پیکٹس اور 57 پیکٹس نسوار شامل ہیں، اس کے علاوہ غیر ملکی برانڈز کی بڑی مقدار میں کاسمیٹکس، ذاتی استعمال کی اشیاء، غذائی مصنوعات، شربت، تیل، ڈیری آئٹمز اور مشروبات بھی ضبط کیے گئے۔
ضبط شدہ سامان کی مارکیٹ ویلیو تقریباً دوکروڑ روپے ہے۔تمام برآمد شدہ سامان تحویل میں لے کر کسٹمز ایکٹ، 1969 کے تحت مزید قانونی کارروائی شروع کر دی گئی ہے اور اسمگلنگ میں ملوث عناصر کی نشاندہی کے لیے مزید تفتیش جاری ہے۔
ایف بی آر مؤثر انٹیلیجنس اور ادارہ جاتی تعاون کے ذریعے اسمگلنگ کے خلاف اقدامات کو مزید سخت بنانے اور قومی معیشت کے تحفظ کے لیے پُرعزم ہے۔
