Customs Enforcement Gadani Destroys Huge Quantity of Illicit and Hazardous Goods
The Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, Gadani has destroyed a large cache of illicit, banned, contraband and expired goods which included 614.6 MT of betel nuts, 85.7 MT of gutka and supari, 21,261 outers of foreign-origin cigarettes, and 21.25 MT of China salt in a major operation at FEU Khurkhera. The action was conducted with full transparency and in strict compliance with all legal and procedural requirements.
The goods seized comprised of items deemed harmful to public health, illegal under import regulations or unfit for human consumption. Their seizure and subsequent destruction reflects FBR’s strong commitment to preventing the circulation of prohibited and hazardous products in the local market.
The incineration ceremony was attended by officers and staff of Customs Enforcement Gadani, along with the Deputy Commissioner and DPO Hub, Judicial Magistrate, representatives of the Environment Department, Pakistan Tobacco Company, Philip Morris, and officials from law enforcement and intelligence agencies.
The Federal Board of Revenue reiterates its resolve to curb smuggling, enforce regulatory controls, and safeguard the health and safety of citizens through sustained enforcement actions.

کلکٹریت آف کسٹمز انفورسمنٹ گڈانی نے ایف ای یو کھُرکھیرہ میں ایک بڑے آپریشن کے دوران بھاری مقدار میں ممنوعہ، غیر قانونی اور مضر صحت اشیاء کو تلف کر دیا۔ تلف کی جانے والی اشیاء میں چھے سو چودہ میٹرک ٹن چھالیہ، تقریباٗ آٹھ سو میٹرک ٹن گٹکا اور سپاری، اکیس ہزار دوسواکسٹھ غیر ملکی سگریٹس کے پیکٹ اور اکیس میٹرک ٹن سے زائد چائنا نمک شامل تھا۔مختلف اشیا کی تلفی کا پورا عمل مکمل شفافیت اور قانونی تقاضوں کی سخت پاسداری کرتے ہوئے انجام دیا گیا۔تلف کیا گیا سامان جو کہ انسانی صحت کے لیےمضر، درآمدی قوانین کی خلاف ورزی اور استعمال کے قابل نہیں تھا انسدادِ اسمگلنگ کی مختلف کارروائیوں کے دوران ضبط کیا گیا تھا۔ ان اشیاء کی تلفی سے ایف بی آر کے عزم کی تجدید ہوتی ہے کہ ممنوعہ، مضر صحت اور غیر قانونی سامان کو مارکیٹ میں پہنچنے سے روکا جائے۔
تلفی کی کارروائی کے موقع پر کسٹمز انفورسمنٹ گڈانی کے افسران و عملے کے علاوہ ڈپٹی کمشنر حب، ڈی پی او حب، جوڈیشل مجسٹریٹ، محکمہ ماحولیات کے افسران، پاکستان ٹوبیکو کمپنی، فلپ مورس کے نمائندے اور قانون نافذ کرنے والے اداروں کے افسران بھی موجود تھے۔
