Collectorate of Customs Enforcement Peshawar, in an intelligence-based operation, conducted during the early hours of Thursday, seized a large consignment of smuggled foreign-origin cigarettes along with the offending vehicle, with a total estimated value of Rs. 48 million.
Acting on credible information regarding the movement of illicit consignment of cigarettes from Kulachi, Dera Ismail Khan, towards Peshawar through less-frequented routes, the staff of JCP Yarik, assisted by the Quick Response Force (QRF), intercepted a Mazda vehicle bearing registration number JV-4015 near Lucky Cement Factory, Pezzu, at approximately 0200 hours.
The vehicle was escorted to JCP Yarik for detailed examination, which resulted in the recovery of a substantial quantity of foreign-origin cigarettes. Following the recovery, the contraband goods along with the offending vehicle were seized under the relevant provisions of the Customs Act, 1969.
The seized items included 2,000 sleeves of Milano London cigarettes and 6,100 sleeves of Mond cigarettes, all of foreign origin. The estimated value of the seized cigarettes stands at approximately Rs. 43 million, while the value of the offending vehicle is assessed at Rs. 5.0 million, bringing the total value of the case to Rs. 48 million.
The FBR remains committed to combat smuggling, corrupt practices within institution and protect national revenue through sustained vigilance and intelligence-led enforcement actions.

کلکٹریٹ آف کسٹمز انفورسمنٹ پشاور نے جمعرات کی علی الصبح خفیہ اطلاع کی بنیاد پر کی گئی ایک کارروائی میں غیر ملکی ساختہ سگریٹس کی ایک بڑی کھیپ اور اسمگلنگ میں استعمال ہونے والی گاڑی ضبط کر لی، جس کی مجموعی مالیت تقریباً چارکروڑ اسی لاکھ روپے ہے۔
کلکٹریٹ کو مصدقہ اطلاع موصول ہوئی کہ ڈیرہ اسماعیل خان کے علاقے کلاچی سے غیر معروف راستوں کے ذریعے اسمگل شدہ سگریٹس کی کھیپ پشاور منتقل کی جا رہی ہے۔ اس اطلاع پر جائنٹ چیک پوسٹ یارک کے عملے نے کوئیک رسپانس فورس کی معاونت سے آدھی رات کے وقت لکی سیمنٹ فیکٹری، پیزو کے قریب ایک مزدا گاڑی، رجسٹریشن نمبر JV-4015، کو روکا۔
گاڑی کو تفصیلی جانچ پڑتال کے لیے جائنٹ چیک پوسٹ یارک منتقل کیا گیا، جہاں تلاشی کے دوران غیر ملکی ساختہ سگریٹس کی بڑی مقدار برآمد ہوئی۔ برآمدگی کے بعد اسمگل شدہ سامان گاڑی سمیت کسٹمز ایکٹ 1969 کی متعلقہ دفعات کے تحت ضبط کر لیا گیا۔
ضبط شدہ سامان میں غیر ملکی ساختہ ملانو لندن سگریٹس کی 2,000 سلیوز اور مونڈ سگریٹس کی 6,100 سلیوز شامل ہیں۔ ضبط شدہ سگریٹس کی مالیت تقریباً چار کروڑ تیس لاکھ روپے جبکہ اسمگلنگ میں استعمال ہونے والی گاڑی کی مالیت تقریباً پچاس لاکھ روپے لگائی گئی ہے۔ اس طرح کیس کی مجموعی مالیت چارکروڑ اسی لاکھ روپے بنتی ہے۔
