The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued a clarification on the messages circulating in emails and social media regarding access of FBR on banking transactions. FBR has clarified that there is no linkage or access to banking transactions at any level with the banks or financial institutions. Similarly, there is no fingerprint authentication mechanism available with FBR. The tax profile data of FBR has only offline bank account numbers which are not linked with banks or financial institutions. Therefore, there is absolutely no risk of any access to transaction banking at any level. FBR has termed Messages being circulated in emails and social media as fake and baseless.

فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریونیو نے ای میلز اور سوشل میڈیا کے ذریعے ایف بی آر کی بینکینگ ٹرانزیکشنز پر رسائی سے متعلق پھیلای جانے والی گمراہ کن معلومات پر وضاحت جاری کی ہے۔ وضاحت میں کہا ہے کہ ایف بی آر کی کسی بھی سطح پر بینکوں یا مالیاتی اداروں کے ساتھ بینکنگ ٹرانزیکشنز پر رسائی یا رابطہ نہیں ہے۔ اسی طرح ایف بی آر کے پاس اس حوالے سے فنگر پرنٹ تصدیقی عمل بھی دستیاب نہیں۔ ایف بی آر کے ٹیکس پروفائل ڈیٹا میں آف لائن بینک اکاؤنٹ نمبر موجود ہے جو کہ کسی بھی بینک یا مالیاتی ادارے کے ساتھ منسلک نہیں۔ کسی بھی سطح پر بینکنگ ٹرانزیکشن تک رسائی کا سوال ہی پیدا نہیں ہوتا۔ ای میلز اور سوشل میڈیا کے ذریعے پھیلائی جانے والی معلومات غلط اور بے بنیاد ہیں۔
