Participants of the 45th Mid-Career Management Course (MCMC) of the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA), Karachi, visited the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Headquarters as part of their Inland Study Tour.
During a meeting chaired by the Member Taxpayers’ Services (TPS) Wing, Ms. Tehmina Aamer, the participants were briefed on FBR’s ongoing reform agenda. The Member highlighted FBR’s key initiatives focusing on revenue mobilization, transparency, digital transformation and enhanced taxpayer facilitation.
Ms. Tehmina Aamer urged the participants to uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, public service, and play their due role as civil servants in strengthening institutions and serving the nation.
Representing Inland Revenue Service Mr. Shafqat Rasool Sandhu, Secretary Inland Revenue Operations, along with Dr. Najeebullah, Chief of the Transfer Delivery Unit (TDU), gave detailed presentations on FBR’s revenue collection strategies and change management reforms. The session was followed by an interactive discussion, during which the participants actively engaged and raised pertinent questions.
Representing Pakistan Customs, Dr. Farid Salarzai apprised the participants of customs-related revenue collection measures and institutional reforms, generating further discussion and interest among the visiting officers.
At the conclusion of the visit, the faculty of NIPA Karachi expressed their appreciation to the FBR management for a productive briefing. Commemorative shields were also exchanged as a gesture of mutual goodwill.
The NIPA faculty and the participants termed the visit highly successful which provided valuable insight to the participants into the role of the Federal Board of Revenue in fiscal governance, institutional reforms, and public sector modernization.

نیشنل انسٹیٹیوٹ آف پبلک ایڈمنسٹریشن (نیپا) کراچی میں زیر تربیت 45ویں مڈ کیریئر مینجمنٹ کورس کے شرکاء نے اندرونِ ملک مطالعاتی دورے کے سلسلے میں فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریونیو (ایف بی آر) کے ہیڈکوارٹرز کا دورہ کیا۔
ممبر ٹیکس پیئرز سروسزونگ تہمینہ عامر کی زیر صدارت منعقدہ بریفنگ سیشن کے دوران شرکاء کو ایف بی آر کے جاری اصلاحاتی ایجنڈے سے آگاہ کیا گیا۔ ممبر نے ریونیو میں اضافہ، ادارہ میں شفافیت، ڈیجیٹل ٹرانسفارمیشن اور ٹیکس دہندگان کو بہتر سہولیات کی فراہمی کے حوالہ سے ایف بی آر کے اہم اقدامات کو اجاگر کیا۔
انہوں نے شرکاء پر زور دیا کہ وہ دیانتداری، پیشہ ورانہ مہارت اور عوامی خدمت کو اپناُشعار بناتے ہوئے اعلیٰ ترین معیارات کو برقرار رکھیں اور بطور سول سرونٹس اداروں کو مضبوط بنانے اور قوم کی خدمت میں اپنا مؤثر کردار ادا کریں۔
ان لینڈ ریونیو سروس کی نمائندگی کرتے ہوئے سیکریٹری ان لینڈ ریونیو آپریشنز شفقت رسول سندھو اور ٹرانسفر ڈیلیوری یونٹ (ٹی ڈی یو) کے چیف ڈاکٹر نجیب اللہ نے ایف بی آر کی محصولات جمع کرنے کی حکمتِ عملی اور منیجمنٹ سے متعلق اصلاحات پر تفصیلی پریزنٹیشنز دیں۔ اس کے بعد سوال وجواب کا ایک سیشن ہوا جس میں شرکاء نے بھرپورحصہ لیا۔
پاکستان کسٹمز کی نمائندگی کرتے ہوئے ڈاکٹر فرید سالارزئی نے شرکاء کو کسٹمز سے متعلق ریونیو وصولی کے اقدامات اور ادارہ جاتی اصلاحات سے آگاہ کیا۔دورہ کرنے والے افسران نے ان معلومات میں بھرپور دلچسپی لی۔
دورے کے اختتام پر نیپا کراچی کی فیکلٹی نے ایف بی آر کی انتظامیہ کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔ باہمی خیر سگالی کے اظہار کے طور پر یادگاری شیلڈز کا تبادلہ بھی کیا گیا۔
نیپا فیکلٹی اور شرکاء نے اس دورے کو نہایت موثر قرار دیا اور کہاکہ شرکاء کو مالیاتی نظم و نسق، ادارہ جاتی اصلاحات اور سرکاری شعبہ جات کو جدید خطوط پر استوار کرنے کے حوالے سے فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریونیو کے کردار کے بارے میں قابل قدر معلومات حاصل ہوئیں۔
