Latest FBR Releases
In order to operationalize Video Analytics Rules, 2020 on Sugar sector, an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by FBR with Pakistan Sugar Mills Association in a ceremony held in FBR (HQ), Islamabad. Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq Ahmed, Member (IR-Operations), FBR and Mr. Iskandar Khan, Central President, PSMA signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations. FBR has recently issued Video Analytics Rules, 2020 vide SRO 889(I)/2020, dated 21.09.2020 for electronic monitoring of specified goods.
Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq Ahmed, Member (IR-Operations), FBR welcoming the Central Chairman and other members of the Pakistan Sugar Mills Association remarked that FBR believes in minimizing the contact between tax collector and taxpayer to ensure ease of doing business. For this purpose, Video Analytics technology has been introduced to monitor the production of specified goods through high tech video cameras to be installed on the production lines of sugar industry. The introduction of new technology will enable FBR to receive real-time video analytics data of production from the manufacturing sites and use it for tax collection purpose.
Mr. Iskandar Khan, Central President of PSMA remarked that it is a historic event that PSMA is the first trade body in the history of Pakistan, which voluntarily joined the process of electronic monitoring of production activities. He assured that his Association will continue to support the efforts of FBR for digitalization of economic activities in the country. The introduction of technology will help both the organisations to improve the image, which will also improve the image of the country, he added.
Mr. Tariq Hussain Shaikh, Project Director was also present in the ceremony who gave brief introduction of Video Analytics technology and informed that the Video Analytics Equipment will be provided by the FBR’s authorized vendors to the sugar manufacturers, connecting their production lines/manufacturing sites to the Central Control Room of FBR.

فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریوینیو اور پاکستان شوگر ملز ایسوسی ایشن کے درمیان پیداوار کی الیکٹرانک نگرانی کے لئے ویڈیو اینالیٹکس قوانین 2020 کے تحت مفاہمت کی یادداشت پر دستخط ہوئے۔ ایف بی آر ہیڈ کوارٹر میں ہونے والی اس تقریب میں ایف بی آر کی طرف سے ڈاکٹر محمد اشفاق احمد ممبر آئی آر آپریشنز اور پاکستان شوگر ملز ایسو سی ایشن کی طرف سے ایسوسی ایشن کے مرکزی صدر اسکندر خان نے دستخط کئے۔ ایف بی آر نے حال ہی میں ایس آر او بتاریخ اکیس ستمبر 2020 کے ذریعے ویڈیو اینا لیٹکس قوانین 2020 جاری کئے ہیں۔
اس موقع پر ڈاکٹر محمد اشفاق احمد ممبر آئی آر آپریشنز ایف بی آر نے پاکستان شوگر ملز ایسوسی ایشن کے نمائیندگان کو خوش آمدید کہا ۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ایف بی آر ٹیکس کولیکٹر اور ٹیکس گزار کے درمیان محدود رابطہ رکھتے ہوئے تجارتی آسانی کو فروغ دینے کے لئے کوشاں ہے۔ اس مقصد کے حصول کے لئے ویڈیو اینالیٹکس ٹیکنالوجی کو متعارف کرایا گیا ہے جس کے ذریعے مخصوص اشیاء کی پیداوار کی نگرانی کے لئے جدید ویڈیو کیمروں سے مدد لی جائے گی۔ چینی کی صنعت کی پیداوار کی نگرانی کے لئے ان جدید ویڈیو کیمروں کا استعمال کیا جائے گا۔ اس نئی ٹیکنالوجی کی بدولت ایف بی آر پیداوار کا درست تخمینہ لگا پائے گا جو کہ ٹیکس عائد کرنے میں معاون ہو گا۔
پاکستان شوگر ملز ایسوسی ایشن کے مرکزی صدر اسکندر خان نے ایف بی آر کے اس اقدام کی تعریف کی اور کہا کہ پاکستان شوگر ملز ایسوسی ایشن پہلی تجارتی ایسوسی ایشن ہے جس نے پیداوار کی الیکٹرانک نگرانی کے لئے رضا کارانہ حامی بھری ہے۔ انہوں نے ایف بی آر کی معیشت کو ڈیجیٹلائزیشن کرنے کی کاوش میں بھر پور تعاون کی یقین دہانی کرائی۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اس ٹیکنالوجی کے استعمال سے ایف بی آر کا امیج بہتر ہوگا۔
طارق حسین شیخ پراجیکٹ ڈائریکٹر نے ویڈیو اینا لیٹکس ٹیکنالوجی پر شرکاء کو بریفنگ دی اور مزید کہا کہ ویڈیو اینا لیٹکس میں استعمال ہونے والے سازوسامان کو ایف بی آر کے مستند وینڈرز چینی کے صنعت کاروں کو فراہم کریں گے جس کی بدولت چینی کی پیداواری سائیٹس ایف بی آر کے مرکزی کنٹرول روم سے منسلک ہو جائیں گی۔
