Multan Customs Enforcement Team Foils Major Smuggling Attempt – Seizes Contraband Worth Rs. 15.546 Million
November 2, 2025: In a swift and well-coordinated anti-smuggling operation, the Collectorate of Customs (Enforcement), Multan successfully intercepted a Bedford truck laden with high-value smuggled goods on Kot Addu Road near Qasba Gujrat. The contraband was concealed beneath a layer of stone dust in an attempt to evade detection.
Upon detailed examination, the enforcement team recovered a significant quantity of betel nuts, cigarettes, china salt, and J.M. gutkha. The total value of the seized goods along with the vehicle has been estimated at Rs. 15.546 million.
The confiscated goods and vehicle have been taken into custody, and legal proceedings under the Customs Act, 1969 have been initiated.
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has commended the vigilance and professionalism of the Multan Customs Enforcement team for their continued commitment to curbing illicit trade and protecting legitimate commerce.
FBR reiterates its firm resolve to combat smuggling in all its forms, safeguard national revenue, and protect public health and the economy from the harmful impacts of unlawful trade.

کلیکٹوریٹ آف کسٹمز (انفورسمنٹ) ملتان نے انسداد سمگلنگ کی فوری اور مربوط کارروائی کرتے ہوئے کوٹ ادو روڈ قصبہ گجرات کے قریب ایک بیڈفورڈ ٹرک سے اسمگل شدہ قیمتی سامان برآمد کر لیا۔ اسمگل شدہ اشیاء کو ریت کی تہہ کے نیچے چھپایا گیا تھا تاکہ ان کی نشاندہی نہ ہو سکے۔
تفصیلی معائنہ پر انفورسمنٹ ٹیم نے بھاری مقدار میں چھالیہ، سگریٹ، چائنا سالٹ اور جے ایم گٹکا برآمد کیا۔ ضبط شدہ اشیا اور گاڑی کی مجموعی مالیت کاتخمینہ تقریباً 1 کروڑ 55 لاکھ 46 ہزار روپے لگایا گیا ہے۔
ضبط شدہ اشیاء اور گاڑی کو تحویل میں لے لیا گیا ہے اور کسٹمز ایکٹ 1969 کے تحت قانونی کارروائی شروع کر دی گئی ہے۔
