No bar on public interest information, says FBR
Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has said it has not placed any restriction on the release of information falling in the public domain, says a press statement issued here Wednesday.
The statement comes in response to misleading interpretation by a section of the press of an Office Circular dated 04th May, 2011 which relates to release of inconclusive minutes of the meetings and other internal proposals and notes. The perception that Board’s instructions in this behalf relate to information of public interest/legal interpretations and statuary orders, is misplaced and contrary to facts.
