January 15, 2026: The Collectorate of Customs (Enforcement), Karachi, in collaboration with the Collectorate of Customs (Airports), Karachi, conducted a joint ceremony for destruction of prohibited, expired, and hazardous goods under the Customs Act, 1969, safeguarding public health and government revenue.
The destroyed goods had been lawfully seized after completion of all legal formalities, and were disposed of in compliance with CGO 12/2002 and other applicable laws. The ceremony took place at Plot No. 243, Deh Narathar, Gadap Town, Karachi, under strict supervision to ensure transparency, legal compliance, and environmental protection.
The event was attended by the Collector Customs Enforcement Karachi, Collector Customs (Airports) Karachi, and senior officials from Sindh Rangers, FIA, and Sindh Police.
Items destroyed included betel nuts, gutka, alcohol, Ajinomoto salt, cigarettes, tobacco products, animal vaccines, heroin, hashish, and other harmful goods banned under the Import Policy Order 2022. The total value of the destroyed goods was approximately Rs. 3.92 billion.
Such initiatives underscore FBR’s commitment to curbing smuggling, illicit trade and ensuring safety to public health.

کلکٹریٹ آف کسٹمز (انفورسمنٹ) کراچی نے کلکٹریٹ آف کسٹمز (ایئرپورٹس)کراچی کے ساتھ مل کر کسٹمز ایکٹ 1969 کے تحت ممنوعہ، زائد المیعاد اور مضرِ صحت اشیاء کو تلف کرنے کے لیے ایک مشترکہ تقریب منعقد کی جس کا مقصد عوام الناس کی صحت اور سرکاری محصولات کا تحفظ تھا۔
تلف کی جانے والی اشیاء تمام قانونی تقاضے مکمل کرنے کے بعد ضبط کی گئی تھیں اور ان کی تلفی CGO 12/2002 اور دیگر متعلقہ قوانین کے مطابق کی گئی۔ یہ تقریب پلاٹ نمبر 243 نارتھر گڈاپ ٹاؤن کراچی میں سخت نگرانی کے تحت منعقد ہوئی تاکہ شفافیت، قانونی تقاضوں کی پابندی اور ماحولیاتی تحفظ کو یقینی بنایا جا سکے۔
اس تقریب میں کلکٹر کسٹمز انفورسمنٹ کراچی ، کلکٹر کسٹمز (ایئرپورٹس) کراچی ، سندھ رینجرز، ایف آئی اے اور سندھ پولیس کے سینئر افسران نے شرکت کی۔
تلف کی جانے والی اشیاء میں چھالیہ، گٹکا، شراب، اجینو موٹو نمک، سگریٹ، تمباکو مصنوعات، جانوروں کی ویکسین، ہیروئن، چرس اور دیگر مضرِ صحت اشیاء شامل تھیں جو امپورٹ پالیسی آرڈر 2022 کے تحت ممنوعہ قرار دی گئی ہیں۔ تلف کی گئی اشیاء کی مجموعی مالیت تقریباً 3 ارب 92 کروڑ روپے تھی۔
اس نوعیت کی کارروائیاں اسمگلنگ اور غیر قانونی تجارت کے سدباب اور عوام کی صحت کے تحفظ کے لیے ایف بی آر کے عزم کی عکاس ہیں۔
