November 10, 2025: - In a major anti-smuggling operation, the Collectorate of Customs (Enforcement), Karachi, in coordination with Sindh Rangers and Sindh Police, has foiled a large-scale attempt to smuggle foreign-origin fabric worth millions of rupees.
Acting on credible intelligence a joint operation was conducted on the intervening night of November 9 and 10, 2025, under the supervision of Assistant Collector (ASO) Ms. Bisma Noor Jatoi. The enforcement teams raided multiple warehouses at Tariq Road, Karachi, where substantial quantities of smuggled fabric were illegally stored.
The operation faced violent resistance from a mob of around 200 to 300 individuals who resorted to stone-pelting, setting empty trucks on fire, and attempting to obstruct official proceedings. Despite the tense and violent situation, the joint teams of Pakistan Customs, Rangers, and Police maintained discipline and professionalism, ensuring the safe and successful completion of the operation.
During the operation, 22 Mazda trucks and a 40-foot container loaded with smuggled fabric have been seized. The confiscated goods, valued in crores of rupees, have been shifted to the ASO warehouse for further investigation and legal proceedings under the Customs Act, 1969.
An FIR has also been lodged at the Ferozabad Police Station under the Anti-Terrorism Act and Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) against those arrested and other unidentified persons involved in the violent resistance.
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has lauded the Karachi Enforcement team for its successful action and appreciated the assistance of Sindh Rangers and Sindh Police in curbing smuggling. The FBR reiterated its firm commitment to combat smuggling, safeguard national revenue, and promote lawful trade across Pakistan.

کلکٹوریٹ آف کسٹمز (انفورسمنٹ) کراچی نے سندھ رینجرز اور سندھ پولیس کے تعاون سے کروڑوں روپے مالیت کے غیر ملکی کپڑے کی اسمگلنگ کی بڑی کوشش ناکام بنا دی۔
مصدقہ خفیہ اطلاع پر 9 اور 10 نومبر 2025 کی درمیانی شب انٹی سمگلنگ آرگنائزیشن کی اسسٹنٹ کلکٹر بسمہ نور جتوئی کی نگرانی میں مشترکہ آپریشن کیا گیا۔ انفورسمنٹ ٹیموں نے کراچی کے علاقے طارق روڈ پر متعدد گوداموں پر چھاپے مارے جہاں بھاری مقدار میں اسمگل شدہ کپڑا غیر قانونی طور پر چھپایا گیا تھا۔
آپریشن کے دوران تقریباً 200 سے 300 افراد پر مشتمل ہجوم نے پرتشدد مزاحمت کی جس کے دوران پتھراؤ کیا گیا خالی ٹرکوں کو آگ لگا ئی گئی اور سرکاری کارروائی میں رکاوٹ ڈالنے کی کوشش کی گئی ۔ اس کشیدہ اور پرتشدد صورت حال کے باوجود پاکستان کسٹمز، رینجرز اور پولیس کی مشترکہ ٹیموں نے انتہائی نظم و ضبط اور پیشہ ورانہ مہارت کا مظاہرہ کرتے ہوئے کارروائی کو بخیر و خوبی مکمل کیا۔
آپریشن کے دوران 22 مزدا ٹرک اور 40 فٹ کا ایک کنٹینر ، جن میں اسمگل شدہ کپڑا لدا ہوا تھا، ضبط کر لیا گیا ہے۔ ضبط شدہ مال کی مالیت کروڑوں روپے ہے۔کسٹمز ایکٹ 1969 کے تحت ضبط شدہ مال اور ٹرکوں کو قانونی کارروائی کے لیے انٹی سمگلنگ آرگنائزیشن کے گودام میں منتقل کر دیا گیا ہے۔
فیروز آباد تھانے میں گرفتار افراد اور دیگر نامعلوم ملزمان کے خلاف انسدادِ دہشت گردی ایکٹ اورتعزیرات پاکستان کے تحت ایف آئی آر درج کر لی گئی ہے۔
فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریونیو نے کراچی انفورسمنٹ ٹیم کی کامیاب کارروائی کو سراتے ہوئے انسداد سمگلنگ کی کاروائیوں میں سندھ رینجرز و سندھ پولیس کے تعاون پر اظہارِ تشکر کیا ہے ۔ ایف بی آر نے اسمگلنگ کے خلاف جنگ جاری رکھنے ، قومی محصولات کا تحفظ کرنے اور پاکستان بھر میں قانونی و جائز تجارت کو فروغ دینے کے پختہ عزم کا اعادہ کیا ہے۔
