Continuing its incessant operations against money laundering and currency smuggling, Pakistan Customs (FBR) in a joint operation with ASF has recovered 616,000 Euros (Rs. 120 million approximately) from two passengers who happened to be brother and sister namely Ubaid Siddiqui S/o Muhammad Afzal and Aqsa Siddiqui D/o Muhammad Afzal. They were travelling to Dubai by Flight EK-605 from Jinnah International Airport, Karachi on 29th January, 2022. Both have been arrested and an FIR has also been lodged. Further investigations are underway and more arrests will be made following leads obtained during interrogation.
Finance Minister, Shaukat Tarin, has commended FBR in this successful operation and its ongoing drive against money laundering and currency Smuggling. Chairman FBR/Secretary Revenue Division Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq Ahmed has congratulated Member (Customs Operations), FBR Mr. Tariq Huda and announced cash awards and merit certificates for officials of Pakistan Customs who successfully unearthed this huge amount being smuggled out in money laundering. Needless to add that FBR is following a policy of zero tolerance against money laundering and smuggling of all shades and grades. The country's premier revenue collection organization has introduced a number of innovative interventions both at policy and operational level to promote a culture of tax compliance across the country.
پاکستان کسٹمز نے کراچی ائیر پور ٹ سے 0.616ملیں یوروز کی فارن کرنسی سمگلنگ کو ناکام بنا دیا
منی لانڈرنگ اور کرنسی سمگلنگ کے خلاف آپریشنز جاری رکھتے ہوئے پاکستان کسمٹز (ایف بی آر) نے ائیر پورٹ سیکیورٹی فورس کےساتھ مل کر مشترکہ آپریشن میں دو مسافروں سے 616000 یوروز فارن کرنسی (پاکستانی 120 ملین روپے ) ضبط کرلی۔کرنسی سمگلنگ میں ملوث دونوں مسافر عبید صدیقی ولد محمد افضل اور اقصیٰ صدیقی دختر محمد افضل جو کہ بھائی بہن ہیں ، کو جناح انٹرنیشنل ائیرپورٹ کراچی سے گرفتار کیا گیا جو کہ فلائیٹ ای کے 605 کے ذریعے کراچی سے دبئی سفر کر رہے تھے۔ دونوں مسافروں کے خلاف ایف آئی آر درج کر لی گئی ہے ۔ تفتیش کے بعد مزید گرفتاریاں متوقع ہیں۔
وفاقی وزیر خزانہ و ریونیو شوکت ترین نے اس کامیابی پر اور منی لانڈرنگ اور کرنسی سمگلنگ کے خلاف ایف بی آر کےجاری آپریشنز کی تعریف کی ہے۔ چئیرمین ایف بی آر/سیکریٹری ریونیو ڈویثرن ڈاکٹر محمد اشفاق احمد نے کامیاب آپریشن پر ممبر کسٹمز آپریشنز ،ایف بی آرطارق ہدا کو مبارک با د دی اوراوراس بڑی منی لانڈرنگ کو بے نقاب کرنےکے آپریشن میں شامل کسٹمز اہلکاروں کے لئے نقد انعامات اور تعریفی اسناد کا اعلان کیا۔ایف بی آر منی لانڈرنگ اور کرنسی سمگلنگ کے خلاف زیرو ٹالرنس پالیسی پر گامزن ہے اور اس سلسلے میں پالیسی اور آپریشنل سطح پر متعدد اخترائی اقدامات متعارف کر چکا ہے تا کہ ملک بھر میں ٹیکس قوانین کی تعمیل کے کلچر کو فروغ دیا جا سکے۔
