Building further on FBR's incessant crackdown against the menace of narcotics/drugs, Collectorate of Customs, Gwadar through a joint operation with Pakistan Navy, in yet another intelligence-based action carried out in the wee hours on 21.03.2022, has seized around 3000 KGs of high quality of Hashish, after chasing the smugglers, off Balochistan Coast around Pasni. The value of seizure in the international market is approximately Rs.750 Million. FIR has been lodged against unknown persons and further investigation is underway.

 

It is pertinent to mention that Federal Board of Revenue is following a policy of zero tolerance against smuggling and thereby has increased its vigilance and surveillance of cargo movement across the border. Finance Minister, Shaukat Tarin, has commended FBR for its successful anti-smuggling drive across Pakistan. Likewise, Chairman FBR/Secretary Revenue Division, Dr.Muhammad Ashfaq Ahmed has appreciated Muhammad Sadiq, Chief Collector Customs Quetta, and Ch.Muhammad Javaid,Collector Customs Gwadar, for ensuring zero tolerance against smuggling of all shades and grades. He also announced cash awards and commendation certificates for the Customs Team on accomplishing this rare feat of professionalism and bravery. He further reiterated his unflinching resolve to fight the menace of smuggling across the country in order to maximize tax compliance.

منشیات کی لعنت کے خلاف مسلسل کریک ڈاؤن میں ایک اور غیر معمولی اقدام کرتے ہوئے کلکٹریٹ آف کسٹمز گوادر نے پاک بحریہ کے ساتھ مشترکہ طور پر انٹیلی جنس پر مبنی کاروائی کے دوران 3 ہزار کلوگرام کے لگ بھگ چرس قبضے میں لے لی۔ یہ کاروائی 21مارچ کو علی الصبح پسنی کے آس پاس بلوچستان کے ساحلی علاقے میں سرانجام پائی جس کے بعد چرس کی اس قدر مقدار پکڑ لی گئی جس کی بین الاقوامی مارکیٹ میں مالیت 750 ملین روپے کے لگ بھگ ہے۔ 

قانون نافذ کرنے والے اداروں نے نامعلوم ملزمان کے خلاف ایف آئی آر درج کرکے تفتیش شروع کردی ہے۔ 

یاد رہے کہ ایف بی آر ہر قسم کی اسمگلنگ کے خلاف کسی قسم کی رعایت نہ کرنے کی حکمت عملی پہ عمل پیرا ہے اسی وجہ سے سرحد پہ سامان کی نقل و حمل کی کڑی نگرانی میں مزید اضافہ کردیا گیا ہے۔ وزیر خزانہ جناب شوکت ترین نے ملک بھر ایف بی آر کی جاری انسداد اسمگلنگ مہم کو سراہا۔ چئیرمین ایف بی آر و سیکرٹری ریونیو ڈویژن ڈاکٹر محمد اشفاق نے بھی ہر قسم کی اسمگلنگ کے خلاف کوئی بھی رعایت نہ دینے کی پالیسی پہ عملدرآمد یقینی بنانے کے لئے چیف کلکٹر کسٹمز کوئٹہ محمد صادق اور کلکٹر کسٹمزگوادر چوہدری محمد جاوید کو خراج تحسین پیش کیا۔ انہوں نے پیشہ روانہ مہارت اور بہادری کے اس کارنامے پہ کسٹمز حکام کے لئے تعریفی اسناد اور نقد انعامات کا اعلان بھی کیا۔ اس دوران انہوں نے اس امر کا ارادہ کیا کہ ایف بی آر ملک بھر میں ٹیکس کلچر کو عام کرنے اور اسمگلنگ کی روک تھام کے لئے اپنے غیر متزلزل عزم پہ قائم ہے۔
