Mukarram Jah Ansari
Mukarram Jah Ansari joined Pakistan Customs Service in 1991. During his career he has served all over the country in Pakistan Customs including Director General Customs Valuation, Director General (Reforms & Automation), Chief Customs (Tariff & Trade), Collector Port Qasim, Collector Customs Preventive Lahore and Director Customs Intelligence. He has also actively contributed to Customs Administrative Reforms and Automation. He has extensive operational and management experience in the areas of trade facilitation, enforcement and compliance management in Customs and Indirect Taxes.
During 2020-22, he served in the Board of Investment and spearheaded multiple initiatives relating to Business Climate Improvement including “Ease of Doing Business” and “Pakistan Regulatory Modernization Initiative”. He holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Sciences from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad and MBA from Australian National University, Canberra, along with extensive international exposure gained through training, study visits, workshops & conferences.
