Tax Awareness Educational Session on Filing of Income Tax return held in Marriott Hotel, Islamabad

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), through its Taxpayers Services Wing, organized a Tax Awareness Session at Marriott Hotel, Islamabad, dated i.e. 19-11-2025. The initiative was undertaken under the directions of Chairman FBR Mr. Rashid Mahmood Langrial and Member Taxpayers’ Services Wing Ms. Tehmina Aamer, the Federal Board of Revenue, through its Taxpayers’ Services Wing (TPS), organized a comprehensive Tax Awareness Session at Marriott Hotel, Islamabad.

 

The FBR team was led by Secretary Tax Education & Facilitation, Mr. Muhammad Muti-ur-Rehman Mumtaz accompanied by Second Secretary Tax Facilitation, Mr. Abdul Rehman Sheikh and other officials from the TPS Wing, Senior management and staff from the Marriott Hotel Islamabad attended the session, including Director Finance Mr. Arif Zubairi, officials of the finance department along with other Heads of Departments. The staff members from Marriott Hotel Karachi also joined the session via video link.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Muhammad Muti-ur-Rehman Mumtaz provided a detailed overview of the importance of tax compliance and the advantages of timely filing of Income Tax Returns. He also highlighted key initiatives undertaken by FBR to enhance taxpayer facilitation and underscored the hotel industry’s role as a significant contributor to national revenue. He commended Marriott Hotel for its proactive approach in educating its employees on tax matters.

During the session the TPS team delivered a step-by-step demonstration of the Income Tax Return filing process, clarified common filing errors, and addressed participant queries in an interactive Q&A segment, The discussion helped participants understand both procedural and legal aspects of the filing process.

Marriott Hotel’s management appreciated FBR’s continued efforts to promote tax awareness and acknowledged the value of such sessions for improving compliance and capacity building of the staff.

The TPS Wing reiterated FBR’s commitment to expanding outreach activities and further enhancing taxpayer facilitation.
