FBR Conducts Tax Awareness Session at The federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry in Islamabad

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), through its Taxpayers Services Wing, organized a Tax Awareness Session at The Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry in Islamabad dated i.e. 18-12-2025. The initiative was undertaken under the directions of Chairman FBR Mr. Rashid Mahmood Langrial and Member Taxpayers’ Services Wing Ms. Tehmina Aamer, the Federal Board of Revenue, through its Taxpayers’ Services Wing (TPS), organized a comprehensive Tax Awareness Session at (FCCI), as part of its ongoing nationwide initiative to promote tax literacy.
 
The FBR team was led by Secretary Tax Education & Facilitation Muhammad Muti-ur-Rehman Mumtaz who was accompanied by Abdul Rehman Sheikh, Second Secretary Tax Facilitation and other officials of the Taxpayers' Services Wing. FPCCI was represented by Tariq Jadoon, Vice President FPCCI, Karim Aziz Malik, Chairman/ Incharge FPCCI Capital Office, and other executive members. Members of the business community from different cities also participated through video link.
In his opening remarks, Muhammad Muti-ur-Rehman Mumtaz provided a detailed overview of FBR's mandate, functions and ongoing reform measures which was followed by a detailed presentation by Abdul Rehman Sheikh on tax awareness and the procedure for online filing of income tax returns. The session witnessed active participation, with participants raising a wide range of tax related queries, which were comprehensively addressed by the FBR team. Participants of the session appreciated FBR's efforts to improve outreach, strengthen engagement with stakeholders and foster a culture of tax compliance. The event concluded with exchange of souvenirs between FBR and FPCCI representatives, reaffirming mutual commitment to continued collaboration for enhanced tax awareness and facilitation.
