Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), through its Taxpayers Services Wing, organized a Tax Awareness Session at The HUNERKADA College of Visual and Performing Arts in Islamabad on March 31st, 2026 The initiative was undertaken under the directions of Chairman FBR Mr. Rashid Mahmood Langrial and Member Taxpayers’ Services Wing Ms. Tehmina Aamer, the Federal Board of Revenue, through its Taxpayers’ Services Wing (TPS), organized a comprehensive Tax Awareness Session at Hunerkada College, as part of its ongoing nationwide initiative to promote tax literacy.

FBR’s team included Mr. Muhammad Muti-ur-Rehman Mumtaz (Secretary Tax Education & Facilitation), Mr. Abdul Rehman Sheikh (Second Secretary Tax Facilitation) and staff members of Taxpayers Services Wing. On behalf of The HUNERKADA College of Visual and Performing Arts in Islamabad the session was headed by Mr. Jamal Shah (Chairman), Ms. Amna Shah (Director) along with the students.

In his opening comments, Mr. Muhmmad Muti-ur-Rehman Mumtaz (Secretary of Tax Education & Facilitation) provided a detailed overview of the FBR and its functions and delivered a presentation on Tax Awareness and the recent advancements made by the FBR to assist taxpayers.
He highlighted major initiatives including Point of Sale (POS) Integration, Track & Trace System, Digital Invoicing, Faceless Customs System, Cargo Tracking System, Direct Port Delivery System, Reward & Rating System, and Video Analytics for production monitoring in different sectors. He informed the participants that Video Analytics has already been deployed in the sugar and cement sectors and is currently being implemented in the textile sector.
The presentation highlighted how these advancements have clearly improved the taxpayers base by increasing their level of confidence in FBR and enhancing FBR’s perception as a transparent and taxpayer-friendly organisation. The audience showed keen interest and posed various questions concerning their tax issues, which were addressed satisfactorily by the FBR team. Participants valued the initiatives taken by FBR to promote a positive image of the department and to cultivate a culture of tax compliance.
The event wrapped up with a question-and-answer session, followed by the distribution of souvenirs among the representatives & students of the college.
